From 760 stores across India, across three brands Adidas, Adidas Originals and Reebok, the company aims to increase the store count to 1,000 by 2020. It also wants to strengthen presence in markets like Mumbai and Bangalore after establishing connect in Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and the east and northeast regions. Focusing on omni-channel retail strategy, which is now implemented in around 80 stores present in and around Delhi, Adidas plans to increase the store count under omni-channel retailing to 200 by the end of the year and to 400 by April next year. The company has approached the India government for approval to open wholly-owned stores. While it will continue to expand presence through franchise partners, the company also wants to open around 20 big brand outlets spread over 5,000-6,000 square feet. in the next three-four years.
