Nagaland hosts Agripreneur & Green Startup Connect 2025

Dimapur, September 16 2025 (MExN): Agripreneur & Green Startup Connect 2025, held at Hotel Acacia, Dimapur, convened over 50 entrepreneurs, innovators, policymakers, and sector experts in a high-energy forum designed to unlock growth opportunities for sustainable enterprises.

With the theme “Green Fund Access: From Grants to Scale,” the event created a platform for relevant stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue around financing, policy navigation, and scaling strategies for agripreneurship and green startups, stated a press release.

The day-long programme held on September 9 was moderated by Neikepekho Shosahie, Associate Director, YouthNet, “Nagaland’s startup and entrepreneurial momentum is accelerating; by fusing capital access, mentorship, and innovation we’re not only creating companies, we are building a resilient ecosystemto scale” said Neikepekho Shosahie.

The event featured sessions led by some of the region’s leading voices in innovation and sustainability.

The resource person included Dr. Bula Choudhury, Senior Scientist, Guwahati BioTech Park, Government of Assam, unpacked pathways for entrepreneurs to access schemes, grants, and funding opportunities in the evolving ecosystem.

Sheena Kapoor, Senior Manager, Access Development Services, introduced the Grant for Agroecology Program (GAP) Fund, designed to bridge financing challenges faced by early-stage enterprises.

Syed Mufti Alam Rahman, State Project Manager (NE), Access Development Services, conducted a deep dive on Agro Ecology and Concept Note Preparation, equipping participants with actionable tools to sharpen their project pitches.

Earlier, Ikheshe Kahoto, Assistant Director, Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the state’s commitment to strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
